Story
Ethan’s family is the wealthiest in the metropolis. His father is a politician. Before Ethan was born, his father was engaged in the top secret experiment of Dr. Augen Caecus a blind doctor from Henbane University about the ability of humans to gain “Echolocation”. Ethan’s father took Dr. Augen in his abode one day to talk about the project and Dr. Augen planned to slip a drop of the chemical he has formulated in the drink of Ethan’s mother while she was still pregnant of Ethan. This is the reason why Ethan was born blind and since birth. The Echolocation ability is already in his genes yet it has not developed until he turned twelve. His parents knew that he has acquired this and decided to keep it shut to everyone including Dr. Augen to stop the experimentation. But Dr. Augen broke into Ethan’s personal doctor’s files and got the information and decided to attack the family and take Ethan.

About this game
Without Light is a first-person suspense adventure game which revolves around a blind boy that can envision sight through sound. Born blind, he has adapted the ability to figure out the shape and displacement of objects by making and listening to sounds. When it’s completely silent, the game will be pitch black. Any sound made in the game will produce visual ripples from and on the object that made the sound, temporarily making the object and a little of the environment around it “visible” for as long as the sound lasts. Certain objects have odors that are visualized as smoke, leading to the source of the smell.
