Capriccioso Games Studio is looking for an Entry-Level Unity Game Developer to join our tightly-knit team. As a Unity Game Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing game features and mechanics using Unity game engine. You will work on a mid-scale game project and potentially work on two other games on the side. Your job responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Developing game features and mechanics using Unity game engine
  • Collaborating with the design team to develop and iterate on game mechanics and systems
  • Implementing and maintaining gameplay systems, including player controls, AI, and UI
  • Optimizing game performance and memory usage
  • Troubleshooting and fixing bugs in the game code
  • Integrating third-party plugins and tools into the game engine
  • Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other team members
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in game development
  • Communicating project progress and timelines to the project manager and other team members
  • Working collaboratively with other developers, artists, and designers to deliver high-quality game experiences.

Qualifications: 

  • At least 2 years of Unity development experience as a hobbyist or student.
  • Must have a portfolio of previous work to showcase their skills and experience.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control.
  • Skilled in integrating visual effects (VFX) into games.
  • Experienced in integrating animations into games.
  • Able to write clear and concise documentation for their code.

Terms: 

  • This is a full-time, freelance contract position minimum 6 months. 
  • Salary is PHP20,000 and, 
  • 1% of monthly company income (we’re a startup),
  • 10% of amount billed to a direct client you are working for,
  • + 1 month pay if contract is discontinued or if you resign so you have some time to look for other jobs without worry (minimum 5 months working with us)
